This is how the day started...with hurricane patricia staring down upon us...beck calling the airport and me looking at ground transportation to get north of the storm..All flights on alaska...except for the possible 11am flight ... We later found out that too was cancelled. On the advice from the agent on the phone...they suggested we get to guadalhara and fly out from there....wrong...roads were closed to guadalajara.
Breakfast with our fast new friend b dent. We were told by our steward that we needed to get our things and get on the next bus out of pv...it had just started to rain..we did..got on a bus the staff arranged for folks like us staying there...and we were on our way out...

not sure where we were going...the convention center? a high school? We ended up being taken to Vallarta Tec...electronic technology college...where we would remain in classrooms around campus.

We were grateful we ended up here instead of a large noisy building...
We were fed water and sandwiches...tacos..got blankets and were told we would see the staff back to pick us up at 9am. I don't think anyone wanted to stay there...sleep in a desk chair...on the hard classroom floor? I had my mind set on sleeping in a cozy hut...not a classroom...I found one...with power to recharge my devices. It was also cooler than the classrooms..and the rain clearing the stale mexican humid air. and with power to go out sometime soon figured It would be less crazy once the power went out inside that pandemonium could start...
Rain got gradually heavier...I stayed outside and smoked my havana...then went back to find that maybe we weren't going to have to stay over night at the school! And could return to our hotel! people were leaving with their bags...many of them...like another evacuation!
